(20 min drive from house) 7751 Penzance Blvd. Fort Myers- over 3400 acres of wetland. Has boardwalks/paths.

Park 17980 Palm Beach Blvd. Alva, FL. (40 min drive) Very beautiful walking trails-well marked and various levels of difficulty offered.

5505 Rose Garden Rd Cape Coral. (10 min drive) Walking paths (boardwalk) with scenic views and lookout tower, butterly house, iguana habitat.

4140 Coronado Parkway. (3 minute drive).- Paved sidewalk/trails within a city park on the Caloosahatchee River

10901 Palm Beach Blvd. Fort Myers (35 min drive) This park has some walking trails, but this is a viewing area for manatees in the cooler months. (starting in March, the manatees go to the gulf for cooler water). Can rent kayaks here as well.

3661 Stringfellow Rd, St. James City. (35 min drive) Nesting bald eagles in preserve. Several trails/boardwalks.
